Smith Rock Get Away

Smith Rock State park is one of our favorite places to climb and amazing “off-season” climbing destination Smith Rock is perfect when the rest of the North west is still damp. Perfect in April-May and Oct-Nov and with lots of lodging options from scenic camping at the edge of the park to VRBO’s across the street. With a HUGE range of difficulties and route lengths to choose with a very fun climbing style on the the Welded Tuff (Smith’s primary rock type) which includes huecos, pockets, edges, and nubbin’s that are incredibly fun to climb Smith is tough to beat. While we specialize in teaching courses and exploring the areas multipoint routes Smith literaly has something for everyone.
