Bomber Traverse - Alaska

Ski through some of the most spectacular terrain in Southcentral Alaska.

Our guided Bomber Traverse typically follows the classic circuit connecting the Mint, Bomber, and Snowbird areas, with opportunities to ski additional terrain along the way when weather, snow conditions, and the strength of the group allow. The route crosses multiple glaciers and high passes and travels through an incredible landscape of steep granite peaks, broad glacier basins, and long ski descents. While completing the traverse is the primary objective, we build flexibility into the itinerary so we can take advantage of good snow and make the most of the skiing along the way.

The Bomber Traverse is an excellent choice for experienced backcountry skiers and splitboarders looking to take the next step into multi-day ski touring and ski mountaineering in Alaska. Participants should be comfortable skiing a variety of backcountry snow conditions and capable of sustained days of touring while carrying a multi-day pack. Previous avalanche training and touring experience are strongly recommended. Traveling with an experienced professional mountain guide allows us to adapt the route to current avalanche conditions, weather, glacier hazards, and the goals of the group.
