2-Day Rock Rescue Course

One of our most popular courses and one of the programs that Washington Alpine Guides is most known for. This two-day course covers a wide range of very repeatable techniques to help deal with climbing’s most common problems. This course includes escaping the belay, leader rescue, hauling to help a seconding climber get through a crux, improvising a rappel device, improvising a belay device, tandem rappels, counterbalance rappels, knot passes, improvised ascension in the event of a stuck rope or stuck piece of gear and more. The course aims to give you the tools to deal with a wide range of problems while climbing in the alpine or in multi-pitch terrain to use safe, efficient technical solutions with just the items you are most likely to have on your harness.

Venues include Index, Vantage, Mt. Erie, or Exit 32/38.
